The ambassador program provides a unique opportunity to help promote and spread awareness of Girls in Lead© to others. Candidates will be in contact with our team and provided the appropriate materials to encourage community involvement and recruit mentees and/or mentors. Ambassadors will also serve as role models for other mentors or mentees, so your participation in our meetings is incredibly important.
Our ambassadors will learn about the collective efforts of the Girls in Lead© and how the work of each team is planned and executed effectively to support the broader mission and values of the organization.
Benefits:
Ambassadors get to learn about the positive impact Girls in Lead© make to help girls thrive through access to programs, campaigns, and events. They can also gain leadership skills by taking on a more active role in the mentoring community and build relationships with other professionals or leaders in the field.
Ambassadors develop valuable skills that can enhance resumes or profiles, including event planning, recruitment, and advocacy. They can earn recognition in newsletters or on social media for contributing to the success and growth of Girls in Lead©.
Expectations:
Ambassadors must uphold the values and present an image that align with our mission and vision. This includes consistency and exceptional progress that is displayed in such a way that complements our image.
If an ambassador is a mentor and have not yet been paired with a mentee, they must show commitment to the organization through active participation (volunteering).
Ambassadors are expected to support Girls in Lead©’s efforts and speak positively about the organization and their campaigns. Must be willing to commit time and effort to the ambassador role, including attending ambassador meetings, events, and outreach activities.
Ambassadors must also have a willingness to speak confidently, engage diverse audiences, and use social media or other platforms to advocate for Girls in Lead©.
